Raise Their Voice was officially incorporated under the Alberta Societies Act on 1 May, 2008 as "Raise Their Voice Against Injustice Foundation, Red Deer." The express purpose of the society is to : - Raise Awareness About Injustice and Other Social Issues - Help Others Facing Injustice - Equip Others to Address Injustice The Founders of the Society meet Annually on or before 30 April of each year. Though quite new, the society connects with the ancient and inspiring values of justice, mercy, and social action. With a heart for the oppressed and a mind committed to action, the society looks to the future with expectation. It forsees using story, song, film, projects, acts of mercy, and practical help to address the plight of the oppress and relieve suffering. Women and men have raised their voices for the voiceless for centuries, and Raise Their Voice is especially inspired by the proverb of King Lemuel's Mother: Speak up for those who cannot speak themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.>
